New WSH Council Chairman and Deputy Chairman to be appointed on 1 April 2023 |

With effect from 1 Apr, Mr Abu Bakar bin Mohd Nor and Mr Vincent Phang will be appointed as Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the WSH Council respectively. |

Launch of the Safe Hands Campaign 2023 |
|
At the Safe Hands Campaign launch event, SMS Zaqy Mohamad spoke of a new programme where companies could get their machinery certified and verified in accordance to SS 537-1. Companies were also urged to utilise collaterals such as GIFs, pictograms and a video in raising workers’ awareness of hand and finger injuries. |

Making Businesses Safer |

The StartSAFE programme helps small and medium enterprises identify WSH risks and implement good WSH practices at their workplaces. WSH Council has compiled some examples of corrective actions undertaken by companies onboard the programme. |
